The smell of fresh cut grass, the sight of silky smooth infield dirt, the crack of a bat, the pops of leather - it all brings a smile to your face because those sights and sounds means baseball is in the air.

But rain? Yeah, that’s typically something we are not used to.

SJ NABA is holding our tryouts for the upcoming season Sunday, February 26 at Gunderson High School - rain or shine.

The forecast for Sunday is calling for no more than a .20 of an inch of rain so we don’t expect downpours, but rather scattered sprinkles throughout the day.

Regardless, player safety is of the utmost importance and we will modify tryout drills and schedule as necessary based on field conditions and weather.

Immediately after tryouts, we are hosting our formal league draft for teams to select players to join their squad this year.

SJ NABA boasts 36 teams across 3 divisions, representing one of the largest adult baseball leagues in Northern California. We are particularly excited to welcome 10 new teams to the league this year.

So strap on those cleats, get those arms warmed up, and let’s get ready to play some ball!
